Permissions: Assigning content ownership

To access Content Ownership settings in Engaging Networks, you first need to login with your subaccount login details.

Admin Module

Once logged in as the subaccount administrator you will now have access to the Admin Module. Here you can Manage Users and Permission Groups, set Content Ownership and Manage Tokens. For the purpose of this document we will be focusing on the Content Ownership tool.

Content Ownership

Content Ownership allows you to assign ownership of the content that is created within your Engaging Networks dashboard, which works with your Content View settings within your Permission Groups.

By default, each user will be the owner of any new content they create.

If you have content older than September 1, 2014 you will need to manually assign the Content Ownership.

Content Types

There are 6 content types you are able to assign ownership to within your Engaging Networks dashboard.

As part of future development, we will be adding more types of content ownership to this tool.

These are:

Filters

Filters help you easily locate existing content

Filter Description

Status The search filter options are Any, Archived, and Active.
Owned by This filter allows you to search for content owned by anybody, nobody, or a specific user. The dropdown includes all users in your account including those with an inactive or pending status.
Created This filter allows you to select a date range for when the content was created.

NOTE: To filter for a specific day you will need to enter the same date in both fields. You can also double-click on the calendar date within the calendar drop down.

Once you have the filters you would like to use in place click Apply Filter to filter the content. You can also click Reset Filter to clear your selection.

Assign Content Ownership

Once you have your filter in place you can now select the content you would like to assign ownership to.

To do this check the box next to the name of the content you would like to assign.

Next, select the user you would like to assign as the owner from the dropdown.

Finally, click “Assign” to assign your content owner.
