Fundraising Recurring Update – FRU

FRU transaction type will be generated when supporters update their credit card information on an active or inactive recurring donation – and each generates different data in the transaction report.

Supporters update their credit card information:

When supporters use the Supporter Hub or a page to update their credit card for an inactive or active recurring donation, an FRU is created. In general, if a card update is done, the payment token or the original schedule can’t be used so that schedule gets CANCELED. A new schedule is created with the new payment token and the initial transaction value shows up as $0. The FRU transaction will have the transaction ID for the original FCR in the campaign data 11 column and that can be used to track the update back to the original recurring schedule.
